Marketplaces
Keep Bad Actors Out. Stop Them From Starting Over.
TraidSafe helps marketplaces screen participants before approval, prevent unauthorized second accounts, and surface serious enforcement history from other participating marketplaces, including fraud, scams, and other major Trust & Safety violations.
A new account shouldn’t mean a clean slate.

Stop the Problem Before It Reaches Your Marketplace.
Basic IDV can tell you who someone is. TraidSafe helps you understand whether that person represents risk, whether you’ve seen them before, and whether another participating marketplace already knows something important about them.
01
Screen Before They Get In
Go beyond basic IDV with criminal background checks and sex offender screening, giving your team additional risk context before approval.
Combine screening with TraidSafe network history to make a more informed onboarding decision.
02
Stop Second Accounts
Connect marketplace accounts to a persistent TraidSafe Identity so someone who has been removed, restricted, or banned from your platform can’t simply rely on a new email, phone number, username, or device to appear as a completely new person.
New account. Same person. Know the difference.
03
Know Their History on Other Marketplaces
If another participating marketplace has removed or restricted someone for fraud, scams, theft, abuse, or another serious Trust & Safety violation, that history can remain connected to the verified person.
When they show up on your marketplace, you can review that history before deciding what to do.
A new marketplace shouldn’t mean a clean slate.
04
Know When Risk Changes
Trust doesn’t stop at onboarding.
TraidSafe continuously monitors for relevant changes, including new criminal records, sex offender registry updates, and qualifying marketplace enforcement events.
The instant we know, you know.
Prevent the reset. Preserve the context.
What Do We Mean by a Marketplace Trust & Safety Event?
A Marketplace Trust & Safety event is a serious enforcement action reported by another participating marketplace and connected to the verified person.
Removed for fraud or scams
Account removed for fraudulent activity, scams, or deceptive behavior.
Restricted for theft or serious misconduct
Account restricted for theft, abuse, or other serious violations.
Permanently suspended under a defined safety policy
Account permanently suspended for violating platform policies.
Subject to another significant platform enforcement action
Other Trust & Safety events reported by a participating marketplace.
TraidSafe connects the event to the verified person, not just the username or account where it occurred.
If that individual later appears on another participating marketplace, the relevant history can be available for review.

Beyond IDV
IDV Tells You Who They Are. TraidSafe Tells You What Else Matters.
Most marketplaces can already verify identity. The harder problem is knowing whether you’ve seen the person before, whether risk changes after onboarding, and what other participating marketplaces already know about them.
Traditional IDV
- Is this a real person?
- Is the identity document valid?
- Does the face match the document?
TraidSafe
- Have we seen this person before?
- Are they attempting an unauthorized second account?
- Do they have relevant criminal history or sex offender registry exposure?
- Are they continuously monitored after onboarding?
Has another participating marketplace removed or restricted them for fraud, scams, or serious misconduct?
Continuous Monitoring
Trust doesn’t stop at onboarding. New criminal records, sex offender registry changes, and qualifying marketplace enforcement events can create new Trust & Safety signals. Updates can be delivered through webhook or API.
Identity is the starting point. Continuous trust and connected marketplace history are the differentiators.

Make It Harder to Start Over.
Removing an account is easy. The harder problem is stopping the same person from coming back with a new username, email, phone number, or device.
Email addresses change.
Phone numbers change.
Usernames change.
Devices change.
The person doesn’t.
TraidSafe connects marketplace accounts to a persistent identity and helps recognize when the same individual attempts to create another account or return after enforcement.
Existing Identity Recognized
When someone already exists within the TraidSafe network, a new interaction can resolve back to that person rather than creating another TraidSafe Identity.
Potential Duplicate Detected
If the same person attempts another account on your marketplace, TraidSafe can surface the identity match for review.
Enforcement History Stays Connected
Changing usernames, emails, phone numbers, or devices does not automatically disconnect the person from relevant Trust & Safety history.
New account. Same person. Know the difference.
Know When Risk Changes and What the Network Already Knows.
TraidSafe combines two ongoing sources of Trust & Safety intelligence for the same verified person.
Screening & Monitoring
Criminal background checks and sex offender screening add risk context at onboarding. Continuous monitoring helps surface relevant changes after approval.
Marketplace Network Intelligence
Serious enforcement actions from other participating marketplaces can remain connected to the verified person, so your marketplace doesn’t have to start from zero.
Delivered Into Your Workflow

Network Intelligence
Trust & Safety Shouldn’t Stop at the Edge of Your Marketplace.
If Marketplace A removes someone for fraud, Marketplace B shouldn’t have to discover the same risk the hard way.
TraidSafe connects serious enforcement history from participating marketplaces to the verified person behind the account.
If that person later appears somewhere else in the network, the relevant history can be made available for review before the receiving marketplace decides what to do.
